Hi! My name is Lyla Stern, and this site was originally my personal portfolio for my JOUR 293 class last year, but I am using it as a placeholder site for all of my recent work. I’m a sophomore in graphic design at the University of Illinois in Urbana Champaign, and have been doing photography, videography, and editing for over six years. I want it to be something I carry on doing in my adult life. I love making videos just for myself and my friends, but I am starting to make promotional videos for RSOs. I am on the marketing and sound team for Illini Student Musicals, the graphic design committee for 8 to create, and I am interning with Luftmensch Designs this summer.
I also love to bullet journal, and I am learning how to turn my love for calligraphy and organization into a more digital artform. Although I feel I am new to the art world, specifically graphic design, I want to put myself in whatever I can. I am happy to learn, and always open for new opportunities.
